Sen Village Festival 2018 opens

The opening ceremony of Sen Village Festival 2018 on May 17th took place at Sen Village Stadium, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, central province of Nghe An.

It is among activities to mark the 128th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19th). The event drew the participation of more than 600 artists from mass artistic troupes in districts in Nghe An province, Cua Lo town, Vinh city, and Nghe An provincial ethnic music, dance and singing troupe. Art performances praised the great contribution of Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, people’s gratitude to Uncle Ho.
Until May 19th, diverse activities such as film screenings on Uncle Ho, youth camp, photo exhibition on the Party, Uncle Ho and Directive 05-CT/TW, folk games, Sen village beauty contest, Sen village singing contest and kite releasing contest will be held.
On the same day, Nghe An provincial leaders and organisations laid wreaths at the Uncle Ho statue in Vinh city’s Ho Chi Minh square. A procession carrying photos of President Ho Chi Minh from his memorial house at the Kim Lien relic site to Sen Village Stadium also took place. Sen village is the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh./.
