Special art performance on Vietnam Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Day

The programme will draw the participation of the Vietnam National Music Song and Dance Theatre; Vietnam National Opera & Ballet; Viet Bac Folk Theatre, Vietnam National Academy of Music; artistic troupes from Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang and Lang Son provinces, and the Voice of Vietnam; Hue royal arts theatre; Khmer ethnic artistic troupe from Soc Trang province; and Vietnam Dance College.

The programme will introduce the cultures of several ethnic minority groups such as Thai, Tay, Dao, Hmong, Lo Lo, Kho Mu; melodies associated with daily life of the Kinh people in the Red River Delta and wet rice civilization; and folk songs’ association with life and production in central Vietnam.

Customs will be also introduced through cultural activities of ethnic minority groups in south central Vietnam.

The programme aims to popularize the image of Vietnamese land and people with diverse cultural identities in the community of Vietnamese ethnic groups./.
