Stamps on sea and islands to be issued

The Ministry of Information and Communications will publish a collection of stamps on seas and islands every two years starting from 2018.

The publication aims to further disseminate and raise the awareness of officials, soldiers and people of the role and position of the Vietnamese sea and islands for the cause of national construction and defence.

The collection, named “Vietnam’s sea and islands”, will consist of three sets. The first set on sea creatures will be published this year. The second on ships of Coast Guard will hit book-shelves in 2020. And the last part on local sea creatures will eye in 2022.

In details, the first stamp set is scheduled to be issued this month at the Vietnam Naval Academy in Nha Trang city (central province of Khanh Hoa). The Vietnam Post is planning make the stamp sets available throughout its network along the nation.
