The To Mon festival of Ba Na ethnic minority group in Klot village, Kon Gang commune, Dak Doa district, the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai, aims to help the community be more united, easing difficulties in life.

Singing on President Ho Chi Minh at ethnic culture village in Hanoi

The festival was reinstated at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi in the framework of the May program themed “Singing on President Ho Chi Minh” to celebrate the 129th anniversary of the President’s birth (May 19th).

In Rong communal house, in the sacred spiritual space that expresses the identity of the Bana, new members are welcomed in the warmth of local people.

Head of the village presides over the recermony. Chickens, pigs and wine are offered. The ceremony owner reads Yang prayer in front of witnesses and their two families.
