Traditional Khu Cu Te Festival of La Chi ethnic people

Living in the northeastern mountainous province of Ha Giang, La Chi ethnic minority group has preserving a diversified and specific traditional culture, including the traditional Khu Cu Te Festival.

Celebrated in the seventh lunar month every year, it is considered the biggest traditional festival of the group in the year to cheer for a bumper crops and pray for peace and happiness. It was recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2014 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The festival has been reinstated at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi with the participation of La Chi ethnic people.
