Translating ancient inscriptions at My Son heritage

The signing ceremony for the translation of ancient inscriptions on steles at My Son World Heritage has taken place, according to an invitation letter of India’s Embassy in Hanoi.

According to My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board in Duy Xuyen district, the central province of Quang Nam, the event was held by the Management Board in coordination with New Delhi Center for International Cultural Studies, India.

The New Delhi Center for International Cultural Studies will be responsible for sending experts to translate 35 steeles into Vietnamese and English, paying for book publication and cost for experts to work in My Son Sanctuary.

The translation will be done in a period of twelve months as part of the program to mark 20 years of My Son’s recognition as World Cultural Heritage (December 4th) by UNESCO./.
