Vietnam - Korea food and culture festival 2017

(CPV) - The Hanoi’s My Dinh national stadium will host the Vietnam - Korea food and culture festival 2017 from October 27th-29th.

The 9th annual event is co-organized by the Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with Korean Embassy in Vietnam, Korean Community in Hanoi, Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corp (aT), Korea Project on International Agriculture (KOPIA), and Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, and other sponsors.

This event has become a “spiritual food” expected by Korean wave (hallyu) fans, as well as an attractive place for consumers to taste Korean agricultural products via around 70 registered kiosks so far, coming from the cities of Ansung, Hamyang; and famous brand names like Binggrae, Nongshim, Miwon, Chonggak house, Chungjungwon, Samyang food, Faldo, and Dongwon. Besides, it also creates a platform for B2B activities.

Participants have chance to enjoy exciting performances by Korean and Vietnamese artists/bands from 10h00 to 21h00. The detailed schedule is as follows:

October 27th: EDM Party Electro & House Music with Soobin Hoang Son and others famous Vietnamese DJ

October 28th: Noo Phuoc Thinh, artists Haha and Lee Kwang Soo

October 29th: The most in-demand Baritone, Kim Dong Kyu, and other entertainment shows  

According to a representative from Korean Community in Hanoi, apart from enjoying the typical cuisines from both nations like Tteokbokki, Gimbap, Kimchi, Vietnamese kebab rice noodles, “pho”, and spring roll; how to make some delicious meals by Korean food chef Lee won Il are also available.

Last year’s event attracted over 100,000 visitors.

This is part of the activities celebrating the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations (December 19th)./.
