Vietnam National Museum of History welcomed over 23,000 visitors

From January to June, 2020, the Vietnam National Museum of History welcomed 23,508 visitors.

Over the past 6 months, the museum has organized and successfully completed its professional activities, including carrying out archeological research and excavation activities; Maintaining well the work of preserving and managing artifacts; Promoting display, education and communication activities; Successfully organizing thematic exhibits as planned, and; Enhancing education and communication activities in the online form, overcoming limitations and difficulties caused by the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Exhibitions such as "90 years of Communist Party of Vietnam - Historical milestones (February 3rd, 1930 - February 3rd, 2020)"; "President Ho Chi Minh and the working class and Vietnam Trade Union" and excavations of relics in Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa and Bac Ninh were held.

In addition, the museum has conducted adjustment of artifacts, synthesizing materials, completing reports on excavation and restoration of Go Ba Canh relics (Tan Hung district, Long An province), ancient relics of Luy Lau (Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province); Continue to carry out excavations and adjust artifacts at the relics of Ngu Dai Pagoda (Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province); Survey and complete the report on surveying ancient ceramic monuments in Hai Duong province, and; Survey and collect data on the tombs of the kings and queens of the Le Dynasty at Lam Kinh historical monument in Thanh Hoa province.

From July to December, 2020, the museum will continue to effectively implement key activities such as improving the adjustment of artifacts, making reports on the results of the survey and excavation at relics in Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Quang Ngai, Thanh Hoa and Long An provinces; Coordinate with relevant agencies to organize the exhibition "Traditional costumes of ASEAN countries 2020"; Organize an exhibition on Vietnam's Cultural History on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19th) and the National Day (September 2nd) in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and an exhibition on Vietnam Marine Heritage in Quang Ninh province, and; Research and apply technology in introducing and building interactive 3D virtual display./.
