Vietnam supports Laos to develop nomination dossier on Hin Nam No National Park

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Quang Tung has had a working session with a delegation from Laos’ Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism on supporting the development of a nomination dossier on Hin Nam No National Park as a World Natural Heritage.

This activity is part of the plan signed on January 10th, 2018 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos in the Memorandum of Understanding.

On behalf of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos, Vice Chairman of Khammouan People's Committee Bounmy Phimmasone, who is also head of the delegation, expressed his gratitude for the welcome and support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.

At the reception, Deputy Minister Tung affirmed that with the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two countries, the ministry will actively support their Lao partner in the development of the nomination dossier.

He said that the two sides should actively cooperate on promoting the Development Triangle Area of ​​Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, especially in the field of tourism. In particular, Vietnam and Laos need to coordinate and manage effective natural heritages to create common destinations, attracting domestic and international tourists.

After the working session, the delegation will work with Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee and the Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park to learn more from Vietnam’s experiences./.
