Vietnamese cultural identity introduced at the Prague Ethnic Minority Festival in Czech Republic

Vietnamese culture was promoted at the Prague Ethnic Minority Festival recently held in Czech Republic.

Held annually since 2009, it has been the biggest festival of the year for ethnic minority communities in the Czech Republic. This year’s event drew the participation of 30 delegations from 20 countries and territories whose people are living and working in the Czech Republic, such as Vietnam, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine.

At the festival, the Vietnamese delegation brought performances of Quan ho folk singing and T’rung traditional musical instrument illustrated with the Central Highlands dance. A parade honoring Vietnamese Ao dai was held in parallel.

Attendees also enjoyed performances of traditional costumes of ethnic groups and visited exhibitions of handicraft products as well/.
