Many Vietnamese painters have introduced dog paintings in early 2018, attracting the praise of art lovers.

Painters Nguyen Thanh Binh, Nguyen Hung, Do Cuong, Tran Cuong and Mai Le have focused on lively and diversified portrayals of all kinds of dogs.

The paintings attract visitors not only because portrayals are of lively dogs in all postures, colours and personalities, but they also breath life and warmth for people.

Many of the works show the warmth and confidence of people. Through works such as “Hoa mai” (Apricot flower) by Pham Minh Nhat, “Cau chuyen dau nam (Story in early year) by Thai Vinh Thanh, “Ngong xuan” (Waiting Spring) by Tran Cuong, viewers also feel the vitality of the coming spring.

In these depictions, dogs, like people, also thirst for welcoming the beginning of a happy and beloved New Year.

Next to all types of dogs, some artists use dogs together with other themes to convey their messages.
