What's on in August at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

Diverse activities under the theme “Festival of childhood” are taking place at the Hanoi-based Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay town, from August 1st to 31st.

Activities feature the culture and characteristic customs of 12 ethnic minority groups who are operating in the village and create an end-of-summer playground for children.

The 20th National Youth Wrestling Tournament will take place from August 9th to 12th, hoping to draw 120 athletes competing across 14 weight levels.

Visitors can enjoy a tour bringing back childhood memories through handwriting and painting contests, folk games, and hands-on experience in ethnic traditional activities like making pottery or cooking.

While children can take part in a drawing contest on the Central Highlands from August 4th to 5th and from August 18th to 19th.

Puppetry performances will be organized on August 25th and 26th./.
