Free entrance to Hoi An ancient town on December 4th, Viettel Telecom honored as best mobile data service provider in 2019 and Vietjet recognized as “Asia Pacific Low Cost Airline of 2019” are hot news of November 21st.

On December 4th, tourists to Hoi An ancient town and Thanh Ha pottery village will be offered free entrance.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam, Director of the Hoi An city Center for Culture, Sports, Radio and Television said the move is part of activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town recognized as a World Cultural Heritage (December 4th, 1999) and the 10th anniversary of Cu Lao Cham recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve.

Besides, it expresses gratitude and create conditions for visitors to learn about unique values on history and culture of Hoi An; attracting more visitors to the locality. On this occasion, Hoi An city will organize an array of cultural and tourism programs for visitors to discover the ancient town.

The Hoi An city People’s Committee will organize cross-country run on December 2nd to introduce and promote the image of Hoi An to domestic and international visitors and raise public awareness about preserving the world cultural heritage and developing sustainable tourism.

The event is expected to attract the participation of more than 500 athletes being Hoi An residents, domestic and international tourists./.

Viettel Telecom honored as best mobile data service provider in 2019

According to Vietnam News Agency, Viettel Telecom Corporation has been named Vietnam’s Mobile Data Service Provider of the Year at the 2019 Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards recently held in Singapore.

The company was honored thanks to its strong growth of data subscribers, service diversity, large scope of service supply, and heavy investment in infrastructure and telecommunication eco-system.

In the first nine months of 2019, the number of 4G subscribers reached 21 million, doubling the amount in 2018 and accounting for 65 percent of total Viettel subscribers. The corporation will expand 5G services with various data packages to facilitate internet access for everyone.

Furthermore, several free entertainment applications like Mocha and Keeng have been provided for the customers.

Viettel Telecom General Director Cao Anh Son said: “The award affirms Viettel has been on the right track in its digital transformation. We will channel more efforts to bring the best services to our customers”.

The Frost & Sullivan Excellence Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievements and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer services, and strategic product development.

Vietjet recognized as “Asia Pacific Low Cost Airline of 2019”

The new-age carrier Vietjet has been awarded the title of “Asia Pacific Low Cost Airline of the Year” by Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA).

The CAPA awards aims to annually acknowledge the airline that has been the biggest standout strategically, established itself as a leader, and has been the biggest innovator, providing a benchmark for others to follow during the year in the regional aviation industry.

The award honored Vietjet for the airline’s strong expansion of its international network. This is a highly attractive position given Vietnam’s favorable economic prospects and fast-growing market.
