The information was released at a meeting of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Hanoi on February 21st.
Healthcare facilities at the district level and higher levels are capable of treating patients infected with COVID-19.
On the same day, a 73-year old Vietnamese American man who had contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was finally released from hospital in the afternoon.
Upon his discharge, the patient extended his gratitude to the Vietnamese doctors who had provided heartfelt care and ultimately worked to save his life during the three weeks of treatment he received at the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases. He also highlighted the country’s great efforts put in to combat the epidemic, with the swift move to isolate the infected cases under the MoH's procedures.
No new suspected cases of COVID-19 infection reported in Da Nang
As of 8am on February 21st, all suspected cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) that had previously been put into quarantine in Da Nang had received a discharge from hospital while no new suspected cases had been reported in the city.

Da Nang has moved to monitor and isolate 155 suspected cases of the COVID-19 infection, including 122 Vietnamese and 33 foreigners.
At present, all 155 suspected cases have been discharged from hospital following the Da Nang Lung Hospital releasing the two final cases involving one Vietnamese national and one foreigner on February 20th.

At their recent meeting in Seoul, Vietnam Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh and the RoK’s Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) Park Ki-young agreed on four main orientations for the two ministries’ action plan to achieve the goal, reported VNA.
The orientations include intensifying RoK investment attraction; supporting RoK businesses in Vietnam; increasing the competitiveness of Vietnamese exporters and creating favourable conditions for them, especially those operating in the fields of garment and textiles, footwear, wood processing, agro-fishery, and food processing; and stepping up the transfer of technology from the RoK to raise the competitiveness of Vietnam’s automobile, garment, chemical, and manufacturing sectors./.
