Vietnamese tourism continues to be promoted on Facebook

(CPV) - Vietjet has cooperated with Facebook to launch the tourism promotion program "Immense Vietnam - Fly green with Vietjet".

The program is part of the "Proud Vietnam" project launched by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and Facebook to promote the economy and tourism after COVID-19.

Ly Son garlic granted certificate of geographical indication

Ly Son garlic has just been granted a certificate of geographical indication to prevent impersonation and ensure the rights of farmers in this island district.

On July 1st afternoon, Mr. Dang Tan Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Ly Son Island district People's Committee, QuangNgai province, said that the island district has just received the certificate of Geographical Indication for Ly Son garlic from the Intellectual Property Department under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

"The recognition of geographical indication for Ly Son garlic is a condition for the authorities to protect the interests, solve trade disputes, especially fighting against impersonation of Ly Son garlic which is taking place in the market," said Mr. Thanh.

Ly Son Island district has about 300ha of agricultural area, mainly producing onion and garlic, which are specialties of Ly Son Island district. Each year, the island supplies about 2,000 tons of dried garlic to the market.

Over USD1.4 billion raised via G-bond auctions

According to Vietnam News Agency, a total of nearly VND32.6 trillion (over USD1.4 billion) was raised by the State Treasury through 16 G-bond auctions at the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) in June.

The amount was 77.2 percent higher than that of the previous month. About 90 percent of G-bonds offered were sold.

Annual interest rates of 10-year and 15-year bonds rose by 0.04 - 0.05% against May while those of five-year and 20-year ones declined 0.04 - 0.25%.

On the secondary G-bond market, trading volume averaged nearly VND8.2 billion per session, a month-on-month decrease of 11.8 percent.

Total outright purchases of G-bonds in June amounted over VND114 trillion, down 8 percent month-on-month; while total trading volume of G-bonds via repurchasing agreements (repos) was valued 65.3 trillion VND, up 7.9 percent.

Foreign investors made outright purchases of more than VND5.2 trillion, and outright sales of over VND3 trillion. They did not make any repo transactions./.
