23 countries and territories to join Vietnam Expo 2018

Vietnam Expo 2018, themed “Enhancing regional and global economic links”, will take place from April 11th to 14th at Hanoi International Exhibition Center, No.91 Tran Hung Dao, according to Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The event is expected to attract more than 500 exhibitors from 23 countries and territories, showcasing nearly 600 booths. Currently, the organizers are receiving foreign business delegation from Belarus, Uganda, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Japan, Malaysia, India, the Republic of Korea and China.

Specifically, the Korean pavilion will have 71 exhibitors showcasing as cosmetics, foodstuff, beverage, garments and textiles, consumer goods, pharmaceutical products, medical equipment and machinery in industrial production. These are items included in tariff reduction schedule under FTA which has been signed and took effect from December 2015.

Accordingly, 11,679 tariff lines for Vietnam and 8,521 lines for the RoK have been committed to abolishment in order to create better conditions for trade between the two countries.

The expo is expected to welcome about 20,000 visitors./.
