Agricultural product processing plant opens in Tay Ninh

The plant, covering nearly 15 hectares, has a total investment capital of VND1.78 trillion and was put into use after 18 months of construction.

It is the first factory in Vietnam with the US’s Leed Silver certificate and one of the five most modern fruit and vegetable processing plants in the Asia-Pacific region.

Tanifood has a capacity of 60,000 tons of products a year. It has committed with farmers and co-operatives in Tay Ninh to share material areas and pledged to consume fruit and vegetable products from a total area of 10,000 hectares.

In his speech at the event, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh stressed that the inauguration of the plant is the pride of Vietnam’s agriculture because this is the first time the agricultural sector has a factory with the world’s leading modern technology.

Established in 2014, Lavifood processes and exports fruits and vegetables to the US, France, Japan, Australia, the Republic of Korea, Algeria, and other countries./.
