The Australian table grapes “in season” promotion campaign is running from March to May in local retail outlets in Vietnam and other ASEAN countries.
According to a press release issued by the Australian Embassy Hanoi on April 12th, the country has a worldwide reputation for producing clean, green and safe fruits, nuts and vegetables with high quality in the world. It is also well-known internationally for its high standards in food safety and quality assurance systems.
“Vietnamese people want to be sure that the food they are consuming is of the best quality and is as clean as possible. The Australian horticultural industry is a reliable supplier of premium quality, healthy and safe products. Australia’s table grape production and export systems are also underpinned by world class system and processes,” said Ms Yvonne Chan, Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner to Vietnam.
Local consumers can enjoy a variety of grapes, both seedless and with seeds, such as Adora, Autumn, Cotton Candy, Crimson, Midnight Beauty, Red Globe, Salute, Sweet Nectar, Sweet Sapphire, and Thompson at their favorite supermarkets and fresh fruit retail stores across the nation, including AEON, Big C, Fivimart, K.L.E.V.E. and Mega Market. Each retail chain will offer a two-week special discount for Australian table grapes with product sampling during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from April 12th to May 7th.
Grapes are a natural “super food” because they are low Glycemic Index (GI), and a great source of dietary fiber, phytonutrients and “good” sugar.
Besides, they are 80% water to keep you hydrated throughout the day and also contain Vitamin B6, vital for a healthy nervous system, while red grapes boast the same beneficial antioxidants as red wine - but without the alcohol./.
