BIDV, Lao bank promote cooperative relations

The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and the Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public (BCEL) have signed a comprehensive cooperation deal for the 2017-2020 period.

Under the deal, the two sides continue to promote cooperative relations in various fields: business, training and sharing experiences, and supporting the business activities of joint ventures like LaoVietBank and Lao Viet Insurance Company.

In his speech at the event, Mr. Phan Duc Tu, BIDV General Director, said with the role of being leading banks of Vietnam and Laos, BIDV and BCEL have been cooperating effectively in many sectors. 

It is a significant event to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5th) and 40 years since the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

BIDV was established in 1957 and is Vietnam’s leading scale bank with the network of more than 1,000 branches and transaction offices, together with commercial presence and representative offices abroad./.
