Canadian investors provided many opportunities in Da Nang city

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh has stressed that Da Nang city wants to cooperate with Canadian agencies, organizations and businesses, especially in education and training, sustainable investment, smart city and climate change adaptation.

He made the statement at a talk on the promotion of investment from Canada on March 26th.
Mr. Minh confirmed that Da Nang is ready in terms of infrastructure, human resources and favourable policies for Canadian investors. “However, the FDI flow from Canada to Da Nang city is only at 9 projects capitalized at USD1 million, accounting for some 1.26% of FDI projects in the city and some 0.03% in capital,” he said.
In tourism, Da Nang city is calling on investment in projects building tourist sites along Cu De River, tourist port along Han River, a park around Nguyen Van Troi pedestrian street and ecological tourist site in Hoa Vang district. “The city hopes to link Canadian investors in efficiently carrying out these projects,” Mr. Minh added.
During the talk, the city Department of Education and Training proposed Canadian investors open international schools offering certificates recognized domestically and internationally; and organize training courses for teachers.
Mr. Bryon Wilfert, President of Canada Trade Link, appreciated the dynamic development of the city as well as its potential for development in the future.
He added that the organization will actively support Canadian businesses to study investment environment in Da Nang city, and be willing to help Da Nang city’s businesses seek partners, expanding the market and investment opportunities in Canada./.
