Dung Quat Bio Ethanol Plant to re-operate in mid-October

The Dung Quat Bio Ethanol Plant will officially re-operate in the middle of October 2018 after three years of suspension, said Mr. Pham Van Vuong, Director of Central Petroleum and Bio-fuel JSC.

Earlier, on June 12th, 2018, the Central Petroleum and Bio-fuel JSC (BSR-BF) signed a contract with Tocontap company to process products. Accordingly, BSR-BF is the main processor for Ethanol products made by cassava, which is supplied by Tocontap.

At the same time, Tocontap is also responsible for advancing repairing and processing costs for BSR-BF as it recovers operation.

Upon re-operation, the plant will reach 65% of its capacity, produce about 2,000 tons of products in the first two weeks. In the rest of 2018, BSR-BF will make 7,000m3 of ethanol for Tocontap, while the remaining 35,000m3 is scheduled to be produced in 2019.

BSR-BF has mobilized 70 staff and 70 experienced workers and engineers to ensure the safe and stable operation of the plant./.
