The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Quang Tri provincial People’s Committee held the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Forum on June 26.
Present the event were 500 delegates representing ministries and agencies of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, the Asian Development Bank, the Japan International Cooperation Agency and leaders of Quang Nam, Da Nang, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh provinces.
The forum is a place for managers, businesses, investors and researchers to focus on the potential and demand for cooperation along the corridor, upgrading the EWEC infrastructure, proposing policies and connecting the EWEC business circles.
It is also an opportunity for Quang Tri province to promote its image, call for investment and take advantage of cooperation and international assistance.
At the event, provinces of countries lying along the East-West Economic Corridor are set to sign a cooperation agreement on construction and development.
