First quarter: Nearly 29,000 enterprises formed

Vietnam saw 28,451 enterprises registered for new establishment in the first quarter of 2019, with a total capital of VND375.5 trillion, a 6.2% rise in number of enterprises and a 34.8% increase in capital compared to the same period last year.

In the quarter, 15,050 enterprises recovered operation, a year-on-year increase of 78.1% increase; bringing the total figure to more than 43,500 enterprises. Enterprises suspending operation for time-limit numbered 14,761; a year-on-year rise of 20.8%.
In addition, enterprises halting operation to wait for dissolution procedures numbered 15,331 while 3,378 enterprises announced dissolution.
The number of enterprises completing dissolution procedures was 4,116, a year-on-year rise of 23.9%./.
