Government approves suspension of privatization of three hospitals

(CPV) - Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Vuong Dinh Hue has agreed with the Ministry of Transport’s proposal of temporarily stopping the privatization of three hospitals of the ministry.

The three are Nam Thang Long Hospital in Hanoi, Transport Hospital in Vinh city and Transport Hospital in Central Da Nang city.

Earlier, in the beginning of 2017, the Ministry sent a document to the Government to propose the suspension of the privatization of the three hospitals.

The Deputy PM agreed to allow the three hospitals to draw the balance-sheet of spent privatization costs from the annual revenue of public service delivery units.

He asked the Ministry to collect ideas from the Ministry of Finance in specifying asset value to deliver to managing units under the mechanism of handing over capital to enterprises in accordance with regulations of Decree 52/2009/ND-CP of the Government dated June 3rd, 2009 and Circular 23/2016/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance dated February 16th, 2016./.
