Ha Tinh starts construction of city development project

On May 24th, the Ha Tinh municipal People’s Committee launched a groundbreaking ceremony of project on development of Ha Tinh city, with a total capital of USD42.12 million.
This includes USD31.67 million of ADB (Asian Development Bank) loan and USD10.45 million of reciprocal capital.

The project was invested in places where urban infrastructure is incomplete and causing serious risks to the environment and public health, curbing socio-economic development in the locality.
It comprises of three components: building the main drainage system, roads and infrastructure around Bong Son lake; Hoang Xuan Han street, trees and lighting system; and building transport roads and improving technical assistance for the implementation of the project.
In his speech at the event, Duong Tat Thang, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, recognized and hailed the efforts of the People’s Committee and the managing board of the project of improving environment in the central region, and relevant agencies and individuals in contributing their intelligence and strength to completing procedures to realize the project.
The program is part of the "Secondary cities development" project which targets Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak province), Ha Tinh (Ha Tinh province), and Tam Ky (Quang Nam province) to develop these cities as regional economic hubs with a total investment of USD121 million, of which USD95 million is sourced from the ADB.
The construction is expected to complete in 2019./.
