Hanoi tops country in FDI attraction

Under the framework of the conference, Hanoi and localities in the key economic region of the north, the management board of Hoa Lac hi-tech park and domestic and foreign investors presented 24 Memorandum of Understanding in various fields with a scheduled capital of nearly VND70 trillion.

The capital also handed over investment decisions, policies, and certificates for 71 projects with a total capital of over VND397.33 trillion (equivalent to over USD17 billion), including 11 FDI projects capitalized with over VND130 trillion and 60 domestic projects.

In the near future, the northern hub will introduce 553 projects to investors and enterprises, including 161 on technical infrastructure, 36 on social infrastructure, 91 to develop commercial, service and tourism infrastructure, 75 on clean agriculture and hi-tech agriculture, 90 on real estate business, and more.

Hanoi and other localities in the northern key economic region, Red River Delta, Hanoi Capital Region and Hoa Lac hi-tech park continue to prioritize and call on investment in hi-tech; new technology; clean energy; joint projects for regional development; building houses for workers; garbage treatment plants; hi-tech agriculture; cattle and poultry slaughtering and processing plants; agricultural, forestry and seafood products processing; schools, universities, and vocational schools; manufacturing industry; and supporting industries.

Chairman Chung stressed from August 1^st, Hanoi will support all costs and utilities for the process of establishing enterprise. “When you set up enterprises, you only need to make declaration online. All procedures will be resolved and the results will be delivered to your home,” he pledged./.
