The task of making the Long An Province Plan for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050 has been approved by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.

The plan will be consistent with the objectives and orientations of the ten-year socio-economic development strategy 2021 - 2030, the five-year national socio-economic development plan 2021 - 2025, national strategy for green and sustainable growth and orientations of the Party on Vietnam's development to 2045.
Accordingly, the planning scope is part of Long An province's territory with a total natural area of 4,494.94 km2.
Sustainable development must focus on the development of agriculture, forestry and fishery in the direction of applying modern science and technology, large productivity and high quality, in combination with processing and renewable energy industries, ecotourism, cultural and historical tourism.
The plan will concretize the national master plan and regional plan at the provincial level on the space of socio-economic activities, national defense, security, urban systems, the distribution of rural population, infrastructure, land allocation, resource use and environmental protection, on the basis of connecting national planning, regional planning, urban planning and rural planning./.
