Meeting between Japan and Northern Central region to be held in Nghe An

The event, co-hosted by the Nghe An provincial People’s Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, is expected to create transition in the multifaceted relations among the northern central provinces and promote regional links for development in general, and economic cooperation with Japan in particular, in order to build impetus to attract more investment from Japan.

In addition, the meeting aims to boost cooperation in human resources and link the localities; enhance the role of Nghe An for Japanese partners; and promote the potential and advantages of Nghe An and the northern central localities to contribute to socio-economic development.

It will focus on discussing issues on cooperation and development of regional links, including FDI attraction, human resources, hi-tech agriculture, supporting industries, tourism, education and training, and labor.

On the sidelines, there will be meetings between leaders of the localities with Japanese Ambassador and Japanese international organizations, between leaders of the localities and Japanese businesses, and between businesses of the two countries./.
