The 2018 Sen Village Festival and ceremony to recognize Nam Dan district as a new-style rural area will be held on the occasion of 128th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19th).
The festival will be organized at the provincial level with many prominent activities, such as Youth following Uncle Ho’s teachings, photo exhibition on the Party, Uncle Ho and Resolution 05, Sen Village Singing Festival, folk games and kite flying from May 17th to 19th.
This year, the Sen Village Singing Festival will take place at Kim Lien relic, not Vinh city as usual, and the closing ceremony will be organized on the morning of May 19th.
Meanwhile, Nam Dan will host the ceremony of recognizing the district as a new-style rural area and launch the building of the new model rural district in the evening of May 19th.
After 7 years of realizing the national target program, all 23 communes of Nam Dan have been recognized as new-style rural areas. All district-level criteria were also achieved.
Total budget mobilized to build new-style rural areas in Nam Dan was more than VND1.53 trillion, including over VND107 billion from central budget, VND145 billion from Nghe An provincial budget, VND160 billion from district budget, VND193.2 billion from the communal budget, VND98.5 billion of enterprises, VND346.7 billion contributed by people, and VND479.8 billion from programs and projects in the district./.
