Over 8,000 enterprises formed in March

Vietnam saw 8,082 enterprises established in March 2018 with a total registered capital of more than VND81.156 trillion, a 2.8% rise in number of enterprises but a 18% decrease in capital, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Average registered capital per enterprise reached VND10 billion, down 20.3%. The newly-established enterprises also registered 68,979 workers, down 3%.

This month, the number of enterprises recovering operations was 1,801, a 22.3% reduction from February 2018.

Totaling the first three months of the year, 26,785 enterprises were formed with a total registered capital of more than VND278.489 trillion, up 1.2% in number of enterprises and up 2.7% in capital.

Meanwhile, 8,449 enterprises resumed operation in the three months.

Total capital contributing to the economy in the first quarter was VND763.964 trillion, in which VND278.489 trillion was registered capital of new enterprises and VND485.475 trillion was increased capital of ongoing enterprises./.
