Petrol and oil imported to serve Tet 2017

The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) plans to import nearly 2.2 million tons/cubic meter of petrol and oil to meet the consumption demand during the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2017, a 10% increase over a year earlier.

This included about 750,000 tons/cubic meter imported in December 2016, up 12% over a year earlier; 730,000 tons/cubic meter in January 2017, up 10% and some 700,000 tons/cubic meter in February 2017, up 8%.

Currently, Petrolimex has 5,000 selling places nationwide with the majority of its products consumed in the cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh, Hai Phong and Can Tho.

The Group also planned to increase reserves to timely meet the market demand for petrol and oil, including sudden demand increases./.
