The activity aims to respond to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the direction of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the launching ceremony "All people support COVID-19 prevention and control".

At the ceremony, General Director of PVN Le Manh Hung presented medical equipment, including face masks and antiseptic liquid, to the Ministry of Transport, the Hung Yen provincial Department of Health and the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Health.

Mr. Hung said that PVN is facing a lot of difficulties due to the double impacts of COVID-19 epidemic and falling oil prices. Therefore, PVN is deploying 4 groups of synchronous solutions on corporation administration, finance, investment and market to ensure safe, effective and uninterrupted production and business activities.

However, petroleum employees are always sympathetic and sharing the common difficulties of the country, especially the health sector in the prevention of COVID-19 disease.

On behalf of the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen acknowledged and highly appreciated PVN’s timely support, joining hands in COVID-19 prevention with the whole country.

In the coming time, Mr. Tuyen hoped that PVN and its member units will continue to provide necessary, timely and more effective support to contribute to repelling the COVID-19 epidemic, as well as join hands to take care of and protect the health of the people.

On this occasion, PVN’s Trade Union has spent more than 1 billion VND to buy face masks for all its trade union members and employees of the petroleum sector./.
