During the third Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival in early August, local people in Nam Tra My district, the central province of Quang Nam, earned about VND10 billion, said the organizers.

Specifically, at the event, a Ngoc Linh ginseng tree weighing 0.7 kg was sold at VND530 million and 10 Ngoc Linh ginseng roots were priced from VND200 to VND300 million.
Chairman of the district People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu said that the festival had more than 600 booths of displays, introducing agricultural and forestry products, and those made from craft villages, especially typical products of Nam Tra My like Ngoc Linh ginseng and medical plants.
Of these, three booths displayed Ngoc Linh ginseng planted by 34 households at 15 areas in Tra Linh commune.
The festival attracted 16,000 visitors, including 6,000 from localities nationwide and the remainder being foreigners./.
