This is the target identified by the Ho Chi Minh City’s People Committee in a recent report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on registering the National Target Program on building new-style rural areas in the 2021-2025 period.

Accordingly, in the 2016-2020, the city improved the quality of criteria for new-style rural area construction. Accordingly, it strives to have all 56 communes recognized to meet advanced new-style rural area standards by the end of 2020 and 4 out of 5 districts recognized as new-style rural areas by the Government leader.
Currently, 3 districts were recognized, including Cu Chi, Hoc Mon and Nha Be, while Can Gio is expected to be new-style rural district by the end of 2020.
By 2021, Ho Chi Minh City strives to complete the task of building new-style rural areas./.
