State capital withdrawal hits USD153.3 million in first quarter

In the first three months of 2017, the capital withdrawal of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) was valued at VND3.072 trillion (about USD153.3 million), collecting VND14.236 trillion (about USD627 million), reported the Ministry of Finance in a press conference on April 10th.

Of this, state capital withdrawal in the fields of stock, insurance, banking-finance, real state and investment fund reached VND35.8 billion (USD1.577 million), collecting USD36.3 billion (USD1.599 million).

In addition, groups and corporations withdrew VND1.703 trillion (USD74.99 million), collecting VND2.061 trillion (USD90.79 million).

The State Capital Investment Corporation divested from 15 enterprises with a value of VND1.333 trillion (USD58.72 million), collecting VND12.139 trillion (USD534.7 million). Of this, capital withdrawal from Vinamilk valued VND783.7 billion (USD34.52 million), collecting VND11.286 trillion (USD497.1 million).

Over the past three months, the privatization plan of seven enterprises received the approval of the competent authorities with a total value of VND1.885 trillion (USD83.03 million), in which the real value of state-owned capital is VND379 billion (USD16.69 million)./.
