Third APEC Senior Officials' Meeting to be held in HCM city

The third APEC Senior Officials' Meeting, known as SOM 3, will be held from August 18th to 30th, in Ho Chi Minh city.
Speaking at the regular press conference on July 20
th, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said under the framework of SOM 3, there will be 75 conferences of four Committees and 38 working groups.
SOM 3 will discuss the cooperative contents of APEC and priorities adopted in SOM 1 and SOM2, as well as build contents and programs of the event.
Earlier, SOM 1 was held in the central coastal city of Nha Trang, opening for APEC Vietnam 2017, and SOM 2 took place successfully in Hanoi.
The officials will continue discussions on APEC’s cooperation agenda, as well as the agenda of the APEC high-level economic leaders’ week scheduled for November in the central coastal city of Da Nang./.
