TPP 11 to reach for deal in Da Nang

The eleven Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) members will continue discussions to narrow their differences in order to reach an agreement at APEC 2017 Summit Week, said Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son in a press conference on November 2nd.

Under the framework of the event, cooperative mechanisms and regional connections, including TPP, were established on the basis of voluntarism, mutual benefit and respect.

Negotiating delegations of the 11 TPP countries are meeting in Japan to narrow the differences in view-points toward Ministerial and high-level TPP meetings at APEC 2017 Summit Week in Da Nang.

“Vietnam and member countries are speeding up cooperative mechanisms in TPP. My nation will make contributions to achieve the most significant results, meeting benefit all parties involved”, Mr. Son stressed.

The TPP, or the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), is a agreement under negotiation between Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the US and Vietnam.

TPP 11 is the name of the agreement between the remaining 11 members after the US withdrew in January 2017./.
