Accordingly, the two sides agreed to cooperate in investment, trade, aviation, tourism, training and urban planning, in order to promote the development of the city.

“We are willing to join projects in which Hanoi is calling on investment. We are committed to increasing transport of domestic and international passengers to the capital; boosting tourism, investment and assistance to social welfare programs and promoting the image of the city at the airlines’ international destinations,” said Vietjet General Director Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.

Vietjet defined Hanoi as a key market. Each day, the low-cost carrier operates about 180 flights to and from Hanoi, with 13 domestic routes and 9 international routes at Noi Bai international airport. In 2017, the airline carried 6.48 million passenger arrivals to and from the northern hub, including 741,000 foreign passengers and 44,500 tons of cargo.

In 2018, Vietjet set the target of carrying more than 8.83 million passenger arrivals to and from Hanoi, including 1.18 million foreigners; contributing to boosting tourism and serving the travel demand of local people./.
