The announcement was made on the evening of March 18th due to the complicated development of COVID-19 and the policy of restricting entry among countries.

Accordingly, the latest canceled flights were VN63 from Hanoi to Moscow and VN570 from Ho Chi Minh City to Taipei (Taiwan, China). Flights between Vietnam and Russia, and Taiwan (China), in the coming days are temporarily stopped until further notice by the authorities.

In order to support the affected passengers, Vietnam Airlines will waive conditions and fees for changing itineraries or changing flight dates for all passengers flying between Vietnam and Russia, and Taiwan (China), from March 19th, 2020 until the new notice.

The National flag carrier will widely inform passengers about the plan to re-operate these routes after authorities issue a new decision. For other destinations, the airline is continuing to monitor the situation and decisions of host governments to plan appropriate operations. Vietnam Airlines will constantly update the latest information for passengers in Vietnam, as well as Vietnamese citizens in foreign countries.
