Vietnam-China tourism, trade fair greets over 30,000 visitors

More than 30,000 visitors attended the 2017 Vietnam-China International Tourism and Trade Fair in the northern province of Quang Ninh from December 1st to 7th.

The fair attracted more than 450 booths, including over 300 firms from Vietnam, 122 from China and 16 enterprises from Thailand.

It showcased major products such as fruit, agro-forestry-fishery products, machinery and electronic devices, as well as handicrafts and wood products. Sale revenue was estimated at VND15 billion.

The event fulfilled the set targets of promoting products and linking the community of enterprises of the two countries, with 11 pairs of economic contracts signed, worth more than VND6.5 trillion.

The organizers successfully conducted a seminar on boosting trade and tourism in Vietnam-China border areas and a forum on facilitating export of fruits, vegetables and other agricultural products through the international border gates of Mong Cai (Vietnam)-Dongxing (China).

In addition, the fair included other activities such as a street festival in Tran Phu ward and art performances between youth of the two countries, a golf tournament and a tennis tournament./.
