Vietnam, France expand cooperation in aviation

(CPV) - Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Trinh Dinh Dung hoped that enterprises of Vietnam and France would continue cooperating closer and expand investment cooperation in aviation and other fields; bringing benefits for both countries.

On May 15th, the Deputy PM received several large French enterprises operating in aviation infrastructure.

Welcoming the business delegation, he stressed that the Vietnam-France strategic partnership is developing well in all fields, especially in economics, trade, and investment.

Mr. Dung hailed the cooperation between the two countries’ businesses. Many French business poured investment capital in Vietnam in the fields of aviation infrastructure, services management and flight safety assurance. Accordingly, cooperative projects will help Vietnam modernize its infrastructure and bring about benefits for French investors.

For ongoing projects, he asked relevant parties to exert efforts to ensure progress and quality of projects, especially those related to the expansion of Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat International Airports.

France is Vietnam’s fourth biggest trade partner in Europe, with two-way trade hitting USD5.1 billion last year, a year-on-year rise of 10.8%. It is also the leading official development assistance provider for Vietnam./.
