Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia increase strategic cooperation

Under the MoU, in the period of 2020-2025, MB Cambodia will provide full and maximal credit demand and support Metfone in all corporate financial services with the granting of a credit limit of USD100 million at competitive interest rates.

The bank will also provide credit of approximately USD15 million at preferential interest rates and preferential conditions for Metfone’s partner businesses, subsidiaries and staff.

Meanwhile, Metfone prioritizes transferring its revenue to a bank account opened at MB Cambodia and using financial services at MB Cambodia. It also commits to provide telecommunications services at preferential prices.

Being two businesses operating in Cambodia for around 10 years, both MB Cambodia and Metfone have built a firm foothold in this market of nearly 16 million people. Currently, MB Cambodia has developed a network of distribution channels which include two branches and 120 agents. Meanwhile, Metfone has become the “No.1 Telecom Company” in Cambodia, which has the largest telecommunications infrastructure, creating jobs for more than 12,000 employees, contributing over USD500 million to the local budget.

At the MoU signing ceremony, the two businesses’ leaders confirmed that the strengthening of cooperation between the two businesses also aimed to promote the strong and sustainable development of Vietnamese businesses, thus contributing to nurturing solidarity and good friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia./.
