Vinh city recognized as new-style rural area

Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Vuong Dinh Hue has signed Decision 239/QD-TTg recognizing Vinh city in the central province of Nghe An for fulfilling its duties of building new-style rural areas in 2016.

Over the past few years, the city economic development was maintained rapidly and sustainably with improved social life, stable political security and an improved living environment.
Aiming to fulfill its duties, Vinh mobilized more than VND2.96 trillion, including VND25.1 billion from the state budget, making up 0.85%; VND72.81 billion from the provincial budget, and VND312.77 billion from the municipal budget, VND366.43 million from communal budgets and over VND1.88 trillion contributed by people.
With all suburban communes fulfilling all 19 criteria of new-style rural areas, the city saw 10 criteria exceeding the standard, especially those covering income criterion, with an average per capita income of VND33.8 million a year. /.
