Cooperation between Mozambique and Hanoi accelerated

Ambassador Leonardo Pene confirmed that Vietnam and Mozambique have a wonderful friendly relationship, with solidarity and mutual support in earlier struggles for national liberation and the current cooperation in diverse areas. “Thanks to strict cooperation with strategic partners, including support and assistance from the Vietnamese Government and people, Mozambique’s economy has achieved positive results over the past time,” he said.

According to the ambassador, in his country’s policies for national development, Mozambique attaches great importance to promoting agriculture, infrastructure, energy and tourism, in which agricultural cooperation with Vietnam has gained good development. He expressed his hope that the bilateral cooperation will continue to expand in other areas.  

He added that a business forum would be held on the sidelines of the session of the Vietnam – Mozambique Inter-governmental Committee, making conditions for the two countries’ businesses to increase cooperation.

Recognizing diverse similarities in history and culture between Vietnam and Mozambique, Chairman Chung said that the two countries had carried out strong cooperation, especially in agriculture and healthcare. “Hanoi is willing to share experience in training human resources in agriculture as well as in other areas, while actively joining cooperation between businesses in economics and trade with Mozambique localities,” he said.
