Da Nang cooperates with Czech partners in automobile assembly

He made the statement during his reception for the visiting delegation from the Czech Republic’s Parliament led by Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and Chairman of the Communist Party of Bohemia - Moravia Vojtech Filip, on June 13th.

During the reception, Chairman Tho gave an introduction about Da Nang’s outstanding achievements as well as its strengths, especially in trade, services, tourism, investment in hi-tech industrial zones, information technology and supporting industry. The leader also said the city encouraged cooperation with foreign partners, including Czech partners, in healthcare, education and training, and urban development.

According to Mr. Tho, during the visit to the Republic of Czech by Da Nang city’s leaders in 2018, partners from the two sides agreed to promote the implementation of the project building a pediatrics hospital, and the city now puts aside 5 hectares of land for the project. Additionally, Da Nang and Czech partners also agreed to construct an industrial zone for automobile assembly and production in the Vietnamese city.

Showing his impression of the city’s development, Mr. Vojtech Filip said he is very optimistic about the two projects on the construction of a pediatrics hospital and an automobile assembly industrial zone, adding that he will be willing to seek Czech partners to help Da Nang train healthcare staff for efficiently using modern equipment to be installed in the pediatrics hospital.

Noting that as Czech is resuming the granting of visas, he proposed the opening of a direct flight from Czech to Da Nang for facilitating development opportunities for both sides. “I will do my utmost to introduce capable investors to invest in areas of Da Nang’s focus,” he said./.
