German House deepens Vietnam - Germany strategic partnership

The German House in Ho Chi Minh city has been completed according to the planned progress, marking the will and great efforts of Vietnamese and German agencies and businesses in investing and building the house.

So said Nguyen Thien Nhan, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Mnh city Party Committee, when he visited the construction of the German House on August 30th.

Congratulating the German House as it is going to welcome its first visitors, Mr. Nhan said that the German House would help promote the efficiency of links with the German communities and businesses with those from other countries in Vietnam.

He appreciated the activities by the German Consulate General and German businesses in Ho Chi Minh city in promoting the relationship between Vietnam and Germany in general, and between Germany and the city in particular, including cooperation in vocational training as well as investment promotion programs among the two sides’ businesses.

Mr. Andeas Siegel, German Consul General to Ho Chi Minh city, thanked the city for its support in building the German House, adding that the construction is a symbol of the strategic partnership and friendship between the two nations, contributing to promoting economic exchanges between German businesses and ASEAN countries.

German House, one of key projects of Germany in Vietnam, reflects Germany’s long-term cooperation with Vietnam and its support for Vietnam in the framework of the two countries’ strategic partnership. It targets to promote the cooperation between Germany and Vietnam, and to be a place for meetings between German and Vietnamese businesses, as well as European and ASEAN entrepreneurs.

The 25-storey house which provides a usage area of some 40,000 square metres will be used for offices, exhibitions, events, meetings and restaurants. Using modern technology, it functions with maximum energy savings.

It is expected to welcome its first visitors on September 5th./.
