During the reception, the Japanese Ambassador said that the 2020 cherry flower festival may not be held due to Covi-19; however, he said he hoped it would take place next year.

Noting that Covid-19 can affect the granting of new licenses for Japanese labourers in Hanoi, he hoped the city would extend existing licenses.

Regarding the No.2 urban railway, the Japanese Ambassador urged Mr. Chung to care for the project for early adoption and proceeding with the construction of Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao section.

Appreciating the cooperation and contributions of Ambassador Kunio Umeda, Mr Chung said that it helped the cooperative relationship between Hanoi and Japanese localities, bringing an increased amount of investment capital to the Vietnamese capital.
