Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong has urged Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Parvathaneni Harish to call on Indian businesses to invest in the city, especially in energy, information technology and the building of smart urban area.

He made the statement during his recent reception to bid farewell to the Indian Ambassador.

Recognizing and congratulating Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish’s successful working term in Vietnam, Mr. Phong said that the ambassador had contributed to reinforcing the Vietnam – India friendship relationship; and promoting the economic, cultural and mutual understanding between India and Ho Chi Minh city.

He also expressed his hope that in a new working position, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish would continue to contribute to the cooperation between Vietnam and India in general and between Ho Chi Minh city and India in particular.

Showing his thanks to Ho Chi Minh city’s support for his promotion of cooperation between India and Vietnam, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish said that the two sides had accelerated cooperative activities in economics, space, defence, education and training, information technology, and culture.

According to Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, many Indian businesses care about investment opportunities in tourism and flood prevention in Ho Chi Minh city, asserting that he will support the cooperation between the two countries at any working positions./.
