Congratulating the UK Ambassador to Vietnam for completing the work, Mr. Liem appreciated his contributions in reinforcing and increasing the Vietnam – UK relationship.

Over the past years, the relationship between Ho Chi Minh city and the UK has reported encouraging results. The UK is now one of the large investment and trade partners of the city, with two-way trade turnover of nearly USD800 million in 2017.

Mr. Liem expressed his hope that the Vietnamese city and the UK would continue to cooperate in developing smart traffic systems, increasing the quality of human resources, and training city officers in the English language.

The ambassador said he hoped the city would continue to make favourable conditions for UK businesses to study and realize projects on building smart city, including the building of smart traffic systems, mitigation of climate change and sea level rise, contributing to developing the two countries’ relationship./.
