So said Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong during his reception for Okada Hideyuki, new JBAH President, on May 14th.

During the reception, Mr. Phong expressed his hope that Mr. Okada Hideyuki would help link the city authority with JBAH members to address any possible obstacles in investing in the city, adding that the city is willing to listen to Japanese investors in improving the investment environment.

“On the basics of the good political relationship between the two countries, Japan and Ho Chi Minh city will continue to cooperate in economics, trade and investment,” he asserted.

JBAH President informed that the association has 1,025 business members, which he said shows Japanese investors’ care for the Ho Chi Minh city market.

He also appreciated the city’s annual organization of a round-table meeting to listen to Japanese businesses’ ideas for further improving the investment environment and bettering businesses’ operations.

He pledged to support Japanese businesses that care about the Ho Chi Minh city market, contributing to increase the efficiency of economics, trade and investment cooperation between the two sides./.
